Version 2.0 is being worked on, but it won't be done for a fair while. Not in 2010, at least (probably not anyway, depends on if I do story mode the way I've been wanting to).

Playing the current version is not entirely pointless. In Version 2.0, you will have a rating and very detailed information about how good you were in Version 1.2. Your money, legendary area stats, Pokemon, "combined" Pokemon levels (say you have 6 level 100 Pokemon, then your combined Pokemon level is 600), skill simulator data, mines, pretty much everything.

Furthermore you will likely get something exclusive in the new version based on how good you did. What exactly this will be is undecided.

Anyway, since only Version 1.2 will be around for awhile, I was wondering if I should add some new things or modify some things to make the site possibly better.

So I'm looking for ideas. New features or modifications to the site to make it more enjoyable. In terms of new features, something ideal would be something that perhaps requires some form of strategy or skill, not continual clicking or luck.

A map system with some form of battling somewhat similar to the games that is separate from the site, or something. I just want to know what you guys think should be added. Post in the news comments please. If you post it in the idea directory I won't read it (infact I'll probably be getting rid of the idea directory, I prefer ideas to be posted on the forum).

Oh look.

It's green. Yay.

Just so people don't yell at me for allowing this without making it known, Emerald Origin Giratina will be given to whoever makes it into the quarters finals of a wi-fi tournament. There is no other way to get it.

Whoever wins will get an Emerald Artiglace (149 in game, unob). Guess I should mention that.

I'll be in it (wi-fi tournaments are fun o-o), and if you defeat me on wi-fi, you will get LegacyCelebi (1 in game) and gain super powers.

Sorry for not personally updating often. Its probably not that important to most anyway, but meh. I update Twitter and Facebook more often.

I've been a bit lazy this week in regards to TPM, but I've still done work.

First off, I made it so certain things will run faster/smoother. Such as making the sound effects (pokemon cries/attacks) be cached before it loads (depends on internet connection/browser cache).

I've also made it so subsequent visits to parts of the battle system are cached in memory, thus causing less lag for the site and the user. This does pose a problem if the user has multiple battle tabs open, but in general doing that will cause problems either way.

The main focus has been working on the party switching interface and such. The thing that allows you to see your party, shift, check its moves, and view its summary. I've finished all of those except the part where you can check its moves. That is, interface-wise. The part that actually allows you to shift out Pokemon will be done after all the graphical crap.

1. Spectral has decided to quit due to life stuff, so if you've been wondering why he is no longer on the staff list, well, there's your answer. He will still remain a c-box moderator like before, and says he will visit from time to time.

2. Hippo was requested to be given Spectral's spot in the staff team by Spectral, and it was talked amongst staff and most that responded agreed, so you'll notice that he has gone up two ranks and is now a moderator. What new super powers does Hippo have? ~It's a secret to everybody.~ (not a Zelda 1 reference *cough*)

3. We are no longer allowing people to bypass bans in order to make ban appeals. Yes, we allowed that, but no longer shall it be allowed, as it is ban evasion regardless of how you look at it. Why are we doing this? Blame the people trying to abuse it. People lately who are not supposed to be unbanned ever, or are trying to get unbanned early are making multis and trying to get themselves unbanned, using the excuse that there was no other way to contact us. Go blame those people.

Cless has been working hard at beating people in Halo 3 and beating up people who use Arceus on the new version and I'm happy to say it is coming along nicely, and looks really good. I am very impressed with how it is turning out so far, and I can only assume it will get better as time passes. From the looks of things, the new version will please both people who like to use strategy and want to be challenged, and people who just want to play the game for fun. Oh and, the new version is 2.0, not 1.3 like some people seem to believe. There is no 1.3/1.4, etc...

A reminder...and although most of you know this already, there is some who don't. We are not required by any means, to help if you get scammed by someone. As Cless has said many times, it is your fault and your fault only if you trust someone and you get your Pokemon stolen, especially if you're just being lazy and having someone else doing your training for you. When you decide you want to let someone train for you, you should be well aware of the consequences that may come with that decision beforehand.

In regards to Version 2.0, I completed all of the Pokeball animations a few days ago, that is for Pokemon sent out on your side, Pokemon sent out on the enemy side, and when you're trying to capture a Pokemon. Had to do these for all types of Pokeballs - Dusk Ball, Poke Ball, Ultra Ball, etc. More time consuming than it sounds.

Right now I'm working on making it possible to switch Pokemon during a battle. One of the harder things so I'm not sure how long it will take.

Note: if you manage to get to level 150 in the Skill Simulator, you will receive an exclusive level 5 Growlithe: Modest nature, Leftovers attached, Intimidate ability, and the move Blast Burn. Growlithe and Arcanine normally cannot get Blast Burn. This will be given to you when Version 2.0 is released. It will automatically be put into your account.

On the Skill Simulator, which is a new feature introduced in Version 1.2, I mentioned high-leveled people might get something.

What exactly? If you're at least level 150 upon the release of Version 2.0, you will obtain a special Growlithe with Leftovers attached. This Growlithe will be of the Modest nature and have the Intimidate ability. What will make it special is that it will have the move Blast Burn - which neither Growlithe nor Arcanine are capable of learning normally.

In regards to Version 2.0 updates, I've mostly been touching things up so that things work better in the battle system. Also, I created a Pokeball throwing animation (like, when you're trying to capture a Pokemon) and one for when the opponent sends out a Pokemon. I will continue on that today, but it is actually harder than it sounds. I have to do this for all the types of Pokeballs - Dusk Ball, Poké Ball, Master Ball, Great Ball, Dive Ball, etc.

As you might know, I've been using the past few days to focus on the current version, since the new one probably won't be out for a very long time.

That is, first of all, a new feature - the Skill Simulator which allows you to get Pokémon, and new things for people with Moon Points.

Which means it's back to work on Version 2.0. I just got done laying out a huge portion of the groundwork for trainers in Story Mode and their AIs. Right now I'm working on enemy Pokémon switching out.

As I said I would a few days ago, all Moon Points have been reset. However, if you paid for them or got them by offer, you have received a portion of them back (over time, so even if you spent them).

The Skill Simulator has been changed, so you can't get points from it now. You will eventually get Pokemon as you level up instead.

The Moon Points shop has been updated with new DNAs, avatars, and legendary areas.

Finally, as stated yesterday, a page detailing further the next version is here.

A new battle area story was added today.

Now, I wanted to talk about Version 2.0. Namely, about the reset. First and foremost, will there be a reset? Yes. But is it a FULL reset? Not exactly.

User accounts will be kept (hence, no re-registration), but a lot of the inactive/unused accounts will be deleted. If an account is inactive will be based on things such as play time, time last active, Pokémon currently owned, etc. Thus, the vast majority of users will end up having a lower ID. For example, if your ID was 1,000 in Version 1.2 and 200 accounts below that were deleted, your ID would be 800.

Pokémon will NOT be kept. Sorry but keeping them just wouldn't work out at all in the new version. Mark my words, it's a bad idea to keep them.

Since things like the mines, battle area, minigame center, rock trade-in, dna center, legendary areas, etc. will either be drastically changed or removed, your progress in those will not be carried over to the next version.

Moon Points probably won't be in the next version. If they aren't, anybody who paid for them will get something, of course based on how much they paid, as compensation. What exactly this is is currently undecided.

Do you GET anything for having done good in the current version? Kind of. You will receive a ranking on your profile (out of 5 or 10 stars) based on how good you were in Version 1.2. People who were in 1.2 will likely also get "detailed" info on how good they were: how rare their Pokémon were overall, their overall levels, legendary area stuff, mining stuff, pretty much everything will be detailed.

You will probably get something else too based on how good you did in 1.2, but it is not guaranteed and I have not decided.

Just a note that everything isn't technically gone "forever". I still have all the data of every user and Pokémon saved from Version 0.2 all the way to the current one. I will save 1.2's data aswell. Months after 2.0 is released, I will likely put 1.2 up again, for a week or two, for people to play once again.

The site was down for awhile today as I was changing things and preparing things for a new feature. You will see what this new feature is tomorrow. I worked on it for like 8 hours straight, and I still have the AI system to complete, so I have to give up for now and sleep. xD

And yes, this new feature is for Version 1.2. I figure that, since Version 2.0 won't be out for a long time, might aswell update this version sometimes.

By the way, some legendary area Pokemon have been changed. ("ZOMG U MADE FREAKING RAYQUAZA AVAILABLE I HATE YOU ITS SO UNFAIR!!!"). I could go on and on about why it is fair to make it available. So ya. Don't try my patience pl0x.

Took a bit of a break the past week, but even when I do take breaks, I end up doing quite a bit of work on TPM regardless. o-o'

Anyway, Version 2.0 is going pretty good so far. I'm currently touching things up on the battle system. I've added a "damage" sound effect and a cry sound effect (when the battle begins, the cry of the enemy Pokemon is played).

Also, I added the music that plays when you defeat a wild Pokémon. I've made accuracy and evasion work seemingly fine, and added EXP and EVs gained after battle.

Finally, I fixed up the disobedience factor. That is, Pokémon obtained in trades may disobey you if you do not have enough badges. Also, when a Pokémon is traded, its happiness is set to 40, causing it to disobey you if you do not have enough badges, even if it is a Pokémon native to your user ID.

This is to prevent people from trading to another user who has access to high levels, using Exp. Share and trading it back so the other person can beat Story Mode easier.

Anyway, I understand not everybody is crazy about the reset or the new version in general. Rest assured, I have no intentions of making TPM non-unique. It'll have some things that made the games good - maps that don't refresh upon movement, a storyline, and a solid, dynamic battle system.

Yet, it'll still be very unique. It's not like I'm taking a ROM of Platinum version and putting it on the internet.

Still sort of on break, but yeah. Last night, I started on a new layout style. A Shadow Celebi one which will be used as the default one, of course, meant to match Pokémon Moon's theme. It is not finished, but I will finish it later today or tomorrow.

Also, I just spent awhile working on the EV and EXP gains after battles. Required more work and thinking that I had originally expected. It is coded, but I have to test it, and when I do, no doubt, there will be things I need to add, remove, and change.

Before I do that, I'm changing things to make the battle system run much faster when it is released. This combined with several other database optimizations, the battle system should be systematically much faster than the current version. No page reloading, certain database things which are too complicated for you to understand, and the thing I'm doing now.

Of course, how fast it is in the end depends on if there are any errors and how many people are online and active.

*dies from waiting for Black/White* Stfu, I'm a Pokemon nerd. Why am I telling you this? Dunno. Hopefully you can make fun of me.

As many of you might have noticed, the server was down for the past few days, and thus the website was mostly inaccessible. I apologize for this, but there was nothing I could do.

This slightly slowed the development of Version 2.0, but I did as much as I could despite this. I still managed to get quite a bit done.

I've seen questions about Moon Points in the ideas forum quite frequently. This is against the rules so they were deleted. However I decided I should talk about the fate of Moon Points in Version 2.0 and the current version.

First off, the reason. They are not here because I want to **** people off. They are here to pay off the server. Servers for RPGs cost hundreds of dollars a month. This is why we have advertisements on TPM, so that we can make things more free to users.

However, some people use "ad blockers". You can blame the people who use those on TPM for Moon Points, not me. They are to blame. When you use ad blockers you're stealing from people who are just trying to make a website free. This is why there are Moon Points. Not because I get money from it (I don't), and not because I think it'd be funny to watch members get annoyed.

I understand how those blockers can be useful, but its still stealing. To all people who use ad blockers, IM WATCHING YOU. *pulls out ban knife* I mean, er, hai!

In 2.0, they may or may not be in. If they are, they'll probably only be for things like avatars. It depends. If 2.0 gets a lot of traffic, and that traffic is balanced by the revenue from the ads, there will be no Moon Points.

In conclusion: people with ad blockers are to blame for Moon Points, and they may or may not be in Version 2.0. It is hard to say.

Yesterday I laid the groundwork for the box system which will be fairly similar to the games in style and organization. It took several hours as I was keeping in mind that this has to be as efficient as possible.

Today I decided to fix up the registration system for Version 2.0, the next version, a bit. Namely:

1. you must enter a captcha once to register,
2. you can only register 2 accounts per hour, and,
3. more intensive censors have been added.

To make this all as secure as possible made it take a little longer than I had expected.

Next thing I will be working on is, again, the storage system/box. That or, I will work on Version 2.0's layout and hopefully add the navigation system.

The battle test is now over. Thanks to all who participated. I apologize for any bumps along the way, and I understand some people who tried to could not access it. This beta has provided me with valuable data and will hopefully allow for me to provide a better overall experience.

This will not be the last Version 2.0 battle beta, most likely. The next one will allow you to customize your Pokémon more, use items, and switch Pokémon, probably.

It will be awhile yet, however. I will next be working on things that do not involve the battle system as much. First I will have to fix a few problems and then I will get to work on the box system.

Alright, as you may have heard, a version, which is in most ways different from the current one. I can understand not everybody wants it to be that way, but I can't quite satisfy everybody. o-o'

Anyway, as promised, I have released a beta battle system for all users, not just staff, to test. Feedback, including errors or oddities, would be useful. Complaining about it will likely result in a ban, warning, or termination of post, depending on severity.

There are LIKELY to be errors. And it won't be as fast as everybody else (connection problems aren't anything I can handle).

Before you start swearing, telling me how evil, mean, cruel, and uncaring I am, please take time to skim through this FAQ if you have questions:

1. I can't beat Shadow Celebi. Wut?

2. This sucks!
In your opinion.

3. Why does it load slow?
It shouldn't, but usually the first or second time around, it will. Usually because you have a slow connection or something.

4. Why can we only battle six Pokémon and use six Pokémon?
Beta. Not all moves work (battle system is not fully done), so I had to keep it under a somewhat controlled environment.

5. Why only one on one battles?
Beta. You will be able to use more than one Pokémon in the actual game.

6. Why are all Pokémon level 50?
Again, beta. It is like that because, again, only about 150/400 moves work, and because it is better to beta test that way.

7. No items?
Beta.

8. What's with the fainting animation?
It was too hard to make it like the actual games without splitting up certain parts of the battle system, which is immensely annoying. Not worth the effort. I also liked it more like this, anyway.

9. I BEAT SHADOW CELEBI!!!!
Probably.

10. Is there any AI yet?
No. Moves used are completely random, but there will be an AI in the new version. I can't do this until it is fully complete, or at least not a wide-ranging viable one. So not yet.

11. GIMME A FRIGGIN RAYQUAZA!

12. Why is Shadow Celebi so cheap?
In the storyline, it is portrayed as the creator of the universe (yeah, screw you Arceus), and it is also the final boss, so yeah. It will be hard to get and banned from competitive battles. Its power will also be limited when under your control.

13. Why do you hate Arceus?
It is weak despite being an uber. Most people who have it use hacks. Most people who have it are noobs. Most people who have it believe it is the most powerful Pokémon by far and is invincible. I could literally go on for over an hour explaining why it sucks for an uber, and I have.

If you for some reason do not believe me that it sucks, feel free to challenge me to a Wi-fi battle in the comments. Rules would be: double battle, lvl 50, two legendaries (unless you feel like using a full team of Arceus : D), no hacked stats, 6 on 6.

If you use Arceus, I will anhilate you, and most likely not lose a single Pokémon. The winner would get a LegacyCelebi on TPM (and when the reset happens, you would get a shiny starter upon starting out).

14. Why did you post that on here?
Because I can. Yeah.`

16. Will you be able to disable the music?
Eventually, not yet.

About the Version 2.0 battle system. I took a break from that for the past few days (as in, worked on it less), because I've been working tediously on it for a long time, and it is very difficult. As it is like the games, almost in entirety, except that there are no attack animations, it is difficult. I am a one-man coder, so yeah.

I am also preparing a beta test of the battle system. More like an alpha test to make sure further development runs smoothly, and to get ideas. That is, you will be able to test the battle system (but only with certain Pokémon at certain levels) in terms of single battles. Some things will not work as I cannot incorporate those into the beta yet.

This is the first beta. There will be others to come in the future (likely only one or two) which will further detial the functions which 2.0 will have.

This beta will be done either later today, tomorrow, or the day after.

In a few days, development of Version 2.0 will be ramped up even more so. As in, full-swing, when I get the tools I need to do so.

While developing it, I of course, hope to make it appealing to both old and new users alike. Not possible to please everybody of course, but oh well.

Anyway, I just wanted to remind anybody that, if you have any ideas for the new version, please post them here. I generally read and respond to most of them. I won't always though.

Battle System Version 2.0 still underway. So far today, I've mostly been fixing up bugs, making sure things work, creating Pokémon with maxed stats and fighting with them because I was bored, and factoring obedience into battles.

Because of all the testing, I temporarily stopped coding in the move effects. I will start on that again now.

Still working on the Version 2.0 battle system. Yes, it does take awhile. Alongside that, over the past few days I've been working out the map system. It appears I'll be able to connect all maps in a style similar to the games (though you'd have to wait for a bit while loading as you cross into another map's borders).

May or may not be viably possible without causing major performance issues, but we shall see. At the current moment, it seems as though it will be done.

Back to the battle system. Still adding the effects of moves. 57/277 done. The move effects are arguably the longest part of creating the battle system.

Oh, what a surprise - I am, once again, for the erm.. 19th day in a row more or less, working on the battle system for Version 2.0.

Still working on the effects of moves and touching up things along the way. The move effects, once completed, will be a fairly large milestone in the progress of this system. However, it will not be easy nor will it not take long.

So yeah. That's what I'm doing.

As for the graphic artist positions mentioned last post, Nekomata has become an official graphic artist for TPM and Forgotten is working on the shadow sprites.

If you haven't heard, I've been working on the battle system for Version 2.0, the upcoming version, for a few weeks here. I still am. This system is extremely time-consuming to make, but should be worth it in the end.

Last night and part of today, I took time out of the battle system in order to create a concept and mock-up of the story mode and/or map system.

Story mode and the map system may be combined. It depends on how possible this is, and if we can get a good graphic artist or a few graphics artists - namely for custom tiles for the maps, trainer sprites, Pokémon sprites (there won't be too many custom/fusion Pokémon, but if somebody could do the shadow Pokémon [which are supposed to use the same color scheme as Shadow Celebi, more or less - example], that would be great), back sprites (all Pokémon sprites will need back sprites too - example), battle backgrounds (like this) and such.

Update: If you want to apply to be a graphic artist for one or more of the categories listed above (custom tiles, trainer sprites, pokemon sprites/recolors, back sprites/recolors, or battle backgrounds), post some examples of your work in those categories on the news comments.

If we can get what we need, the map system will most likely be used to make story mode, and combined with the battle system.

I planned out the map system last night, and it looks very similar to the games so far. The maps on Crater are nothing in comparison in terms of looks. This map system will be:

- keyboard controlled
- dynamic (no constant refreshing)
- mostly lag-free (depends on computer, namely)
- portable (looks same regardless of computer/browser)
- powerful (map scrolls with the user, has layers, has running shoes, walking-in-grass animations, etc.)

Aside from that, I did do some work on the battle system last night. I'm currently doing the move effects, and as far as I remember, I currently have about 25/277 done. It will take awhile, yes. After I finish all of those, I will probably do the ability effects. Then, the battling portion of the system should be mostly complete.

When the entire battle system is complete (maybe 1-2 weeks), I may release a beta of it in order to test its performance and portability.

Er - I've finished much of the weather system and status changes in the battle system (for the upcoming version) and made the formulas more precise. Alongside that, I added more ability effects and move effects.

This basically completes a large portion of the main operating part of the battle system. It took a lot less time than I thought (was thinking it'd take a month and a half, but only took like 5-7 days I believe). Probably because I've been working on it several hours straight every day.

My brother had his grad ceremony today, so I was forced to go and thus had to wake up early and lose quite a bit of time. Thus, less work may be finished today... maybe. I'm tired now, though, so I'm gonna rest for 1-2 hours, give or take.

Before I go off, I will leave you with a story, if you'd be so kind as to call it that. .-. And a rant. Lucky you.

Latios. Soul Dew increases SPLATK and SPLDEF 50% when held by Latios or Latias. Latios has 130 SPLATK as its base.

In TPM Version 2.0, Shadow Celebi has the highest overall stats and 160 SPLATK. I was convinced it was unmatched, other than Deoxys (Attack). Appears I was wrong. .-. Latios has 195 SPLATK when its holding Soul Dew. o-o Evil. This doesn't put it above Shadow Celebi as a whole, though.

Arceus is the best Pokémon ever! It has the highest stats in the game, and is a god!

*cough* Arceus sucks. Sorry. o-o It may have 720 overall stats, but its stat balance (how much the stats benefit the Pokémon) sucks. Palkia and Dialga = ded Arceus.

So, please, for the sake of the less than 500 people who play PBR on Wi-fi daily, use better Pokémon. Yanmega maybe? .-.

Updating the progress on the battle system again.

If you haven't heard or seen, the Version 2.0 (upcoming overhaul of the site) battle system is currently being worked on.

Last night, I worked for several hours straight, mostly doing the battle mechanics. Here is the progress that I can remember:

- Evasion factoring
- Accuracy factoring
- Super effective/not very effective factoring
- Critical hit factoring
- Added several ability effects
- Recoil/curse moves
- Flinching
- Special cases for certain moves, such as Fake Out
- Weather factoring
- Made damage formula more accurate
- Made the system work even more similarly to the games

I will continue work soon. What I plan to accomplish today are "stat changes" - such as moves like Focus Energy (increases Critical hit counter), Swords Dance, World Energy (new move, raises SPL ATK), etc. I will also have to add the part that makes these moves actually increase the given stats.

It's hard to say exactly how difficult this will be. I'll assume it won't be too hard, and if that's the case, I'll be able to get more done. There are things I have assumed to be easy, such as critical hit factoring, though, which ended up taking much longer than expected.

Still, it is my goal to make the battle mechanics run almost identical to the games (but double battles are non-existant). So far, it looks like live battles will be included sometime next version. This is not guaranteed, but as of yet it seems like it would run good. Potentially.

I've finished the move interface part of the Version 2.0 battle system (where you select your move). Not that hard, but again had to factor in performance, as performance is crucial in a system such as this.

The last part of the "regular" interface is the party screen (to switch Pokémon, view details, etc.). I will put that off for now. I've started today on the actual "processing" part of the battle system - that is, the part that does something when you choose a move, choose an item, etc.

This will not be easy as it is meant to largely replicate the games. One major thing, however, is that there will be no double battles. That would be much too difficult and error-prone for something like this.

This could take several weeks to complete. Today I have managed to do more than I thought I would be able to do on day one initially, so it might be easier than I thought, but then again, it could end up being more complex than I thought.

Again, I have to factor in performance thus making it even harder to create. I'll be using Twitter more often from hereon, and will sometimes answer questions sent to me regarding the new battle system on Twitter if you have any. If your message does not regard the new battle system, I may ignore you. Sorry, but if I want to complete the new version as quick and as nicely as I can, I usually cannot have too much useless or distracting conversation.

Sounds mean, I know. If you're not in this position, it's hard to understand. Sorry.

Yesterday/earlier today (depends on how you look at it), I've resumed work on the Version 2.0 battle system, which will be similar to the actual games (Heart Gold and Soul Silver). The past two or so days I've taken a bit of a break as the weeks previous, I'd been working on TPM a lot.

That is, if you consider learning things to further improve TPM in the future to be working. Might as well have been. o-o

Today, I've fully finished the inventory interface. It doesn't look exacty like the games, but it looks very similar in most regards. I have also done the coding, testing, and security stuff that involves connecting to the website to get actual in-game information such as items, moves, stats, etc.

Finally, if you tested the pre-beta battle system, you would have noticed that the main bottom screen (the thing with the options - Fight/Bag/Pokémon/Run) and the fight options (which, normally, would show all your Pokémon's moves) was Diamond/Pearl style, as opposed to Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I've modernized this so that it represents that of Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Next up will either be the move selection area or the Pokémon screen.

Anyway, regarding the news post yesterday, oddly, I really don't care. More so, I find it funny. v.v Over the past few months, I've learned a fair bit. .-. Personal issues are starting to not phase me like they did. I realized that people can't be trusted, and that you shouldn't risk yourself for others unless necessary and if they are trustworthy enough.

Unfortunate that the world has to be this way - people lying, being too focused on perverted things, seeing looks ahead of personality. I could go on.

At this point, I find it hard to care. Sounds gloomy, but I'm happier this way. o-o It's why I've been working on TPM much more for the past three or so weeks. I usually don't work much on TPM while stressed, so yeah. And, since I'm essentially shutting myself out, unless something major happens, I probably won't be stressed soon.

Then again, June 15 is tomorrow. For the past 4-5 months, bad things have happened on the 15th. Always. Coincidential? Probably.

Anyway, I won't let it affect me. :P

So, disregarding real life, which always tends to be a fun time, I have been working on the new battle system still. The past 2-3 days, I've taken a bit of a break, however. Might for another 2 or so days, maybe.

Fun, all the time.~

Anyway, this is almost laughable, but I was contacted by the police today. They seem to think I'm some "Caitlin" girl (girlfriend of "Ahg") who has been hacking this other sixteen year old girl and stalking her/harassing her for over a year.

Almost needless to say, I am not Caitlin. And I'm not a girl. ._. So it looks like the police are blindly accusing me. They have supposed "proof". Right.

Caitlin, being involved with Ahg, also knows how to mask IP addresses. Infact, she's a much better hacker than Ahg, and she can hack things to a degree I wouldn't have previously thought possible.

So, they think I'm her. I didn't bother fighting, I know that this is an unwinnable battle. I'm a teen, everything I say will be disregarded or used against me. They said to "stop hacking computers, or whatever I'm doing". Yeah, sounds like GREAT proof there. o_o

Anyway, if they do try to send me to jail, which is a clear possibility, I will fight. Probably will lose. Just a notification, incase I randomly leave or something cool like that.

I won't bother letting this bring me down. I do, infact, find it almost funny that the police, in all their glory, have the ability to accuse somebody of something they did not do.

A few days ago, I said I was working on a Java battle system which would be similar to the actual games.

However, when run on a browser, it didn't work too well. I should have expected as much from Java.

So, I decided to do what I should've in the first place: use Flash. So far it has turned out better in most ways than the Java one thus far, plus it is more compatible.

I have finished a fair bit of the display and internal coding. So far it seems to work fine, but I'd like users to test it and provide feedback.

The music and Pokémon cry is not supposed to load immediately the first time. Music, naturally, takes awhile to load, I can't help that. I don't want to force the user to wait for it to load either, as this is a webgame and that would just be annoying after awhile.

Images may take a bit of time to load. Depends.

You cannot access your bag, access your party, or run. This is simply a display test. And yes, trying to switch or go to your bag does inflict damage on either Pokémon. o-o Mostly to test the HP animation.

Over the past while, my main focus has been the battle system. I've been redoing the 2.0 (previously known as 1.4) battle system. Previously, the 2.0 battle system used JavaScript and CSS mainly.

I've decided to instead use the Java programming language (Java and JavaScript are not the same) instead. This also means I have to learn a few things, but I learn this sort of stuff quickly, so it's not much of a problem.

It will have (optional) music and some variation of animations. Unlike the JavaScript version, cache shouldn't cause too much of an issue.

This will continue to be my focus for awhile. The battle system is a huge project and will require much work. At the moment, I am working on the display. It is meant to look very similar to the games (Heart Gold and Soul Silver.. Black and White display will not happen).

The display itself takes a ton of work. Whenever I complete that, the actual coding will be done. I want to have live battles next version so I will have to keep that in mind when I'm coding it. This will not be easy at all since this part will also work like the games.

Live battles are not guaranteed but are somewhat likely.

Anyway, whenever I complete this, I may allow users to test it before 2.0 is actually released. This will be valuable to ensure the release of 2.0 is as good as possible.

TPM is now three years old. o-o

Update: Version 1.4, the upcoming version, is now going to be named "Version 2.0". The new version will be completely different from the current. Previous to this, all version changes have still kept the same framework and mechanics of the previous version.

The new version, however, will be much different. In such, it will almost be a new game. The current version consists of mostly endless clicking and hoarding stuff, while the next version will have much more media-oriented stuff. The maps will be keyboard-controlled, the battle system dynamic and similar to the games, will have more competitiveness, and more strategy.

Due to it being almost like a new game, calling it "Version 1.4" doesn't sound appropriate. Logistically, I am not "skipping" versions. Generally, versions of websites or applications change things from, for example, "2.1" to "2.2" to signify a minor to "almost" major change. "2.2" to "3.0" would often mean an entire reworking.

The new version will be a very large change, and as such, it will be named "2.0".

The new version is a large change and completely different from the current version and as such will be named "2.0" instead of "1.4" as previously planned.

So yeah, this is Wingedkratos by the way. I thought I would talk about a few things... First off...

Pokemon Black/White. Some of you may or may not know, but things were released recently, and awhile back which confirmed some pretty cool things. First off, they have revealed the two legendary Pokemon that will appear on the casing of Pokemon Black and White. You can go Here for info about that. Also, upon watching a video, I noticed that the Pokemon in battle will constantly move around, basically meaning they will be animated nearly all the time. Sounds awesome right? Even though it's small I thought that was cool. Video of that....
Here Is that awesome or is that awesome? (also there's random footage of HG/SS stuff and the newest movie in there too. All in HD quality)

Despite what I thought previously, I think Black and White might actually be good games. o-o. Well maybe. I don't rally care, I'll end up getting one anyway at some point because I'm weird like that.

Next on the list of random stuff to talk about is, well, the next version of TPM. I have recently been able to do some beta testing on the beta version of the battle system, and so far it looks really awesome. If it comes out the way it seems to be going, it'll feel like you are actually playing a real Pokemon game. ; o (I mean, you'll notice a few differences but yeah. I won't give out too much information. I will tell you that one of the new features of the battle system will be the use of battle music. The way things are going (and will hopefully keep going), you will be able to choose from different battle themes to use during battle, which means that you won't have to be stuck without any battle music or using that weird music player we have (but no one ever uses I bet)

You will be able to turn off this music if you want to, of course.

Now for the third and final thing. I have some/a question(s) for you all concerning the new version and Moon Points. Now I get that most of you hate them (no complaining about it by the way) but they will return in this new version. *Insert someone's exaggerated gasp followed by a sigh of disbelief and then ten second depression here.* I am currently trying to think of new prizes and stuff for them...so I was thinking...
Would any of you like anything to return from this version in the next version that you can buy with moon points? I was thinking maybe it might be cool to be able to buy -past- version stuff. Keep in mind that some stuff simply cannot be added, but it would be nice to hear what you would want from this version.

I was thinking that the legendary areas from this version could be one of the past version things that could be bought, but some changes would have to be made to them to make them work for this version. (For instance since most, if not all legendaries will not be gotten easily, we cannot have legendaries appearing on these maps. Also, the name of the map will have to change, and so will the size. (Basically, you can have bigger look-a-likes of the maps from this version but they won't have the same names/any legendaries on them because of the way the new version will work.) It probably doesn't sound all that cool now that legendaries won't be added there, but eh..that's for you to decide.

Sorry for the lack of updates. There isn't exactly much to update since I've been mostly focused on the battle system.

If you haven't already heard, the battle system for the new version of this website will look like the actual games and be dynamic (new page is not loaded each time you do something).

Basely, I started doing most of this with a combination of JavaScript and CSS. However, these two elements pose compatibility issues, speed issues, and limitation issues. That is, Internet Explorer and some other browsers will likely not display it right depending on the version, it may not be as fast as people would like (if you didn't have cache on, especially), and there are some things I can't do that I would like to do.

I decided to look at Java again. Years ago, I knew the Java programming language to some extent but rarely used it, since, at the time, I found it quite mediocre.

However, now, computers are much faster and the Java programming language, in my opinion, is also better.

Lately, I've been researching and learning stuff about Java in order to potentially build a Java version of the battle system. If this is done, it will likely be optional since not all people would like a Java version of it.

This Java battle system would be very dynamic and cross-browser compatable. For most computers it would also be faster. Animations to some degree would be possible, but not really. At the least, there will be no attacking animations (effects). There will be music, but it will be optional. There may be some sound effects, and if so, it will also be optional.

This new system would also mean less loading time, usually - depends on your system and, usually, your browser. The system may also be "implemented" into Story Mode, so when you get into a battle, you don't have to go to a specific "battle" page.

Still, it not 100% that this will happen, but regardless, I have been attempting it, so yeah.

Well, I have come to the decision that my time as staff on TPM is over. I am resigning.
My reasons for doing so are mainly that I am extremely busy and stressed right now, and I do not have adequate time to sufficiently moderate TPM. I am preparing to move in a week or two. You would think with summer break coming up in a couple weeks I would have plenty of time, but the opposite is true for me.
I will definitely drop in occasionally. At this point I doubt I will become an active member again, but you can expect to see me in the Cbox whenever I can.
I know a few of you will miss me, and some will not. But I will miss all of you greatly. I've had a great time on TPM, I've been here for a year and a half now and I really enjoyed being part of the staff team.

As of late, supposedly many users have been using names such as "Bin Larden" as a spin-off of "Bin Laden". Some have supposedly found this offensive.

I personally do not see something like this as offensive, unless you or somebody you personally know was affected. Besides, "Larden" is essentially making fun of him, not promoting him.

Despite this, arguments have been created pertaining to names such as this. Please keep in mind that you should not be arguing. Users do have freedom, and if something is not listed to be against the rules, it is essentially allowed.

I do not agree with the use of names like this, but regardless, it is not against the rules.

Still, I ask that you consider that some people find offense from things, and to keep that in mind when you do things.

For those who don't know, Pokemon White and Pokemon Black are a new set of Pokemon games that almost popped out of nowhere and are set to release in the US sometime next year...maybe. It takes place in a completely new region called the Isshu Region which is far away from all the other regions and hosts a supposedly massive amount of brand new Pokemon. Some of you might be thinking, "oh no, not more crappy looking Pokemon!" or perhaps, you are violently and unnecessarily throwing f-bombs towards Gamefreak/Nintendo instead because they don't give up, but whatever the case, the games are happening. Ahem...

As many of you have already seen, there are currently five sprites of the new 5th generation Pokemon out. The three starters, and the two Pokemon that appeared in the movie from Japan known as "Phantom Champion Z" which I am thinking of at least seeing part of, clinging to the hope that it might be good. Anyway, the Pokemon's sprites and pictures are located Here Go Here for "pictures" of the actual game.

So, what does everyone think of the new Black & White versions/starters and other things? I don't really mind having new games...I'm just kind of surprised that they are making a ton of new Pokemon. (hopefully some cool looking ones.) Personally I find it pointless to use Pokemon "White" because there's already Diamond...but whatever. I also don't particularly like any of the new starters...but I'll decide which one I wanna pick based on what their final evolutions look like I guess.

To answer questions I know might be asked...

Q: Will the five current Pokemon be released in this version of TPM or the next version?
A: In the current version, most likely not, as there isn't enough information on them yet...like their English names for instance. In the next version, if all the English names are released with sprite or at least a good amount of them with sprites too, then they might be released. I doubt that any with Japanese names (Any in Romaji) will be released under those names.

Q: Can I become staff?
A: Go Here

Q: Why did you post this? It has nothing to do with TPM! *Complains for hours*

The beta, or more currently, the alpha version of Version 1.4 has been released to staff members only. This does not contain all of my progress but it is to test the general outline of the website.

In addition to this, we are now working out policies and rules for the upcoming version. The hope is that the rules will be more fair and that bans will be more fair. Staff will also be required to abide by more specific regulations in regards to bans.

Although not every staff member agrees with everything that has been proposed at the moment, we are debating and that will hopefully lead to a better result.

So that is what I'm doing mostly.

Some of you have complained that, you send money to someone and they do NOT receive the money... There's a reason why that happens sometimes other than just "lag". I'll explain that now. When you go to the Send Money Page....

You see "Method" on the side, which is set to User ID by default.

Method- User ID

If you want to send someone money through this method, you must NOT have any commas in the ID you type. Any ID numbers over 999 show up with commas where you're supposed to put them in real life. 1,000... 10,000...100,000 and so on. Do not add these commas when sending money to someone, delete them if they show up in the ID you copied. If you add the commas, the person whose ID it would normally match will not get the money.

Example...if you try and send money to... Yoda whose ID is 2,448, and you leave the comma in, it sends it to ID 2 instead, who is Cybelle. Basically, if you enter the comma into ID 2,448 when sending money... It only counts the --> 2 and these numbers after it ->448 are completely void as far as the game is concerned.

If you would like to test this without sending money, go to "Find a Trainer" and use the user ID method, type in Yoda's ID which is 2,448 WITH the comma and see what happens.

Method- Username

Probably the safer of the two methods for newbies or just anyone who wants to be more careful. Simply go into someone's profile and check the second box below where it says User Information for this. ->> Username: Wingedkratos
copy the name (if you copy from the top part, the name would look like this "Wingedkratos". Do not add these ->""<- to the username.

Money To Send

This one is more simple. As with the IDs though, do not add commas into the money amount you are sending or it will probably auto-erase it. My current money amount is:
764,051,000.00 Platinum Coins
You may notice that when you try and add the .00 at the end or just add a 0 in general, it'll auto-erase it. Symbols are not able to be entered into this, so . and , and so on would just erase. As for 0...you can only add zeros if you have a number higher than zero before it first. For instance, 1000 will stay, but simply typing in 000 will erase itself before you could even type that many zeros.

Add in the amount of money carefully, especially if you are sending a ton of money. For instance, if I wanted to send 700,000,000 to someone, I would type it in as 700000000 ....and so on. Hopefully this managed to help some people and in the future, help some people avoid sending money to the wrong person.

2. Only three accounts are able to be made from your IP (internet protocol), so if for whatever reason there are three accounts already on your IP, you most likely will not be able to make a storage. Check with a staff member on the staff list to see if you are able to get a storage or not in the first place. (if you want ONE)

3. You may not make a storage account without permission, ever, doesn't matter if what you make is not something you consider a storage. (Team account, shelter, test, etc...) Also a team account is automatically an account being shared, and sharing accounts is against the rules, so...

Making A Storage Account

1. You must have 2000 or more Pokemon in your account. (No that's not a typo) The Pokemon MUST be yours, and CANNOT be borrowed from someone. You will be banned for quite awhile, should you attempt to get a storage by borrowing Pokemon from other people.

2. You must ask permission to get one from anyone who is a Super Moderator or higher on the Staff List. (At the moment that would be Cybelle, Mr. Mars, and myself. Cless does not have time to approve storages, most likely and fcreature will not approve storages.)

3. You MUST put who it was that approved your account in the signature of either the storage, your main, or both, otherwise it doesn't look approved and you'll get banned most likely. We really don't want to have to ask 3000 billion people (OMG exaggeration) if their storage was approved or not.

Account Types

1. Primary- A Primary Account is the first account on the IP, and the only type of account that can get promos and certain other things.

2. Sibling/Storage- A Sibling/Storage Account is any other account on the IP. These types cannot get the promos and certain other things. Whether or not the account is for another person, a friend, or a storage, their account status will be "Sibling/Storage". Oh and no, none of us except Cless can change your account type, and no he won't do it if we ask.

Losing your password
We know it happens sometimes, so here's some/a tip(s) to prevent yourself from losing your password forever.

1. Know your ID/username, and enter a VALID email address in the Modify Profile area. Modify Profile is on the right hand side under Account Stuff.

Should you lose your password, if you remembered to do these things, you should be able to to head to the log-in area and find an area called "Forgot Username/Password area and assuming you follow the simple directions carefully, will be sent an email with your password in it.

If for some reason you forgot to do this, please take your hand and slap yourself across the face. Jk : X But seriously, don't forget to do this. Unfortunately, even if you "lose your password" and try to create another account because of that, it IS still breaking the rules.

C-box

You may or may not notice that sometimes, moderators or other members seem to spout rules from their mouth that are not in the actual rules. Like maybe "Ten posts between copy and pastes" and things like that. That's actually just part of a rule. The one that involves spamming. Here in TPM, if you constantly post the same message and don't let at least ten messages show up before you post again, it is considered spam (and being annoying for that matter)

Got any questions about this? Post them here in the news comments area and "if" a staff member sees it, they should answer. I'll be checking here occasionally...

Also, if you have created an unapproved storage account already without realizing it was breaking the rules, please contact a staff member and explain the situation, and they SHOULD just account ban the storage only and when you get 2000 Pokemon, you should contact them again and have them unban it so you can use it. No, we can't delete it, so don't ask.

Well, I am now "officially" done the trading system. I've been changing and adding various things. Yesterday I also completed the system to switch between layout styles.

Description of pages completed;

Trade Complete/Decline: allows for you to complete, decline, or cancel a trade and view its details. You can click on Pokémon names to view its details.

View Trades: view all trades sent to you or that you sent. Much simpler now. Also allows you to hover over the trade to view the Pokémon offered.

Create Trade: allows you to create trades to people. 3 Pokémon max per trade, and each person must trade the same amount of Pokémon.

Alter Style: allows you to choose Pokémon-themed layouts. There are currently three: Mewtwo, Zoroark and Bidoof. Occasionally, usually on special dates, new ones will be added.

1. You probably know by now, but if you are new, you can post in all caps "once" and get warnings before getting banned (this is ONLY if you didn't know it was bad to do at first) This rule applies to newbie members only, and if anyone else attempts to abuse it, we can ban you. : P

2. According to Cless, as of today all Pokemon RPGs are no longer allowed to be advertised anywhere in the site or forums, including the signature.

3. Advertising in the c-box is bannable, as you know of. People have been finding loopholes out of the rule and trying to advertise by offering Pokemon/Money/staff position to get someone to visit a link in their siggy. This is not allowed and is still considered advertising.

4. Most of you know of ahg, the guy who you sometimes get banned by for no reason. (More likely than not, if you got banned for no reason, it was him who did it) It is best that you ignore him or just stop posting, as he only wants attention. Also, do not impersonate ahg or we'll mistake you for him and ban you .-.

5. If you are purposely being annoying in the c-box, we have the right to remove you, as being annoying for too long turns into harassment. If you are playing around and the other person knows you are and is okay with it, then it is fine though.

6. Any type of "Who wants a (insert Pokemon) press/say (insert phrase)" is not allowed, as it is (and was) the cause of certain types of spam. Example: Who wants a Ruby Rayquaza, press 123! Causes number spam since everyone who is interested will press 123 all over the place.

7. I have removed the smilies from the c-box due to the fact that people kept using them to spam most of the time. The staff who gave me their opinion agreed that they were being abused as well.

8. Daycare/Live Battling will not be added in this version, but it will be in the next version. Please do not ask/post ideas about them in this version.

(No complaining. The only real changes are numbers 1,2, and 7.)

For the past few days, I have been working on the new version's trading system. That includes the page to create trades, the page to complete them, and the page to view them.

Currently the two hardest ones are finished; create trade and complete/decline trade. I should complete the page to view trades fairly soon, though my broken hand needs a bit of a break. Making a trading system like this requires extensive work to make sure that it is stable, efficient, and all that stuff.

It will work (or at least look) like the current version's trading system in some regards. Depends on how you look at it.

On the inside, it is much faster, more secure, and more stable. However, only 3 Pokémon per person are allowed per trade.

As in, you can trade 3, 2, 1 or 0 Pokémon for another 3, 2, 1 or 0 Pokémon (excluding trading 0 Pokémon for 0 Pokémon). You cannot trade 4 or more. You can make more trades if you wish to do this, though.

Since Pokémon should be less common all in all, the need for mass trading will be lessened greatly. Also, this will make it much, much less likely that you will lose Pokémon randomly in trades. In addition, it makes the site lag less because of trades. Some people trade like 5000 Pokémon at a time on here and it is very tedious for the server to handle.

That said, I may also do it so that you have to trade the same amount of Pokémon for both people. So, you can trade 2 Pokémon for 2, but not 1 for 2, etc. Would be more like the actual games, I guess. Plus it would lessen scamming and stuff like that.

Incase you do not already know, my hand is broken. Nearly healed already, since it was not too major, though, in terms of creating this website, it makes the job considerably harder.

That said, I am still working on the next version, albeit quite slower. Decided I may aswell update whatever I managed to complete over the past the days.

First, the friend list page. This page displays all of your added friends. It displays their status (online/offline), username, user id, and ranking. You will be given the option to delete friends on it.

Secondly, the friend request page. It allows you to view all friend requests sent to you, and all friend requests you sent to other people. Allows you to decline/accept/cancel friend requests.

Thirdly, the profile options page. All options -- to accept private messages, private sales, trades and friend requests -- unlike the current version, will all be changable on one page.

Next up will probably be the trading system. Or, at least, I will get a head start on it.

Good evening everybody.

As explained in my last post, my hand is broken. Pretty nice, no? It has mostly healed now - somehow. I thought it would take longer.

Regardless, because of it, I have not really managed to do too much. Coding stuff is not easy in the least right now. I can at least use capital letters and stuff now, and type reasonably fast.

I'll try to code when I can, but it will still be difficult.

hi, i managed to break my hand. im that good, yes. fortunately it is my left hand, not my right hand. i can still type, albeit slower, and i cant really use capital letters much.

god, it looks so noobish.. ;-; well, anyway, i can still code for the most part, so ill try, but it will be a bit slower and harder.

its not that major for the most part compared to what it could have been, but anyway... yeah.

Oh joy, an update about the site.

In the new version, I have just completed the Pokémon Statistics/Information page, which details a Pokémon's name, type, level, gender, held item, owner, nature, ability, OT, EXP, stats, IVs, EVs, moves, contest moves, ribbons, and pretty much everything about the Pokémon. Mostly.

While I was making it, I had to keep building up the Pokémon's foundation (data) so it all worked. It would not have taken nearly as long otherwise.

Now that I finished that, I think a new version of the friend system is in order. Feel free to post your ideas about it.

For those unaware, the friend system is where you add friends to a list, allowing you to easily view their profile, their online status, etc.

Your shoutbox (otherwise referred to as the "cbox") password should always be different from your in-game password. Its not that big of a deal, usually, unless you're on it a lot.

Occasionally, there are exploits in the shoutbox where your password can be stolen. Somewhat rarely, albeit, though it is still a concern. If your password is reasonably hard, you will not have to worry.

I would fix this problem, though I cannot, since I did not make that shoutbox and it is hosted by another website. I could make my own, but it would probably suck and it would lag the website's database.

No, I am not dead. I HAVE been working on TPM. However, the battle system is extremely, extremely time consuming and hard to create. MUCH harder than the previous TPM battle systems.

Since doing too much work on it at once is annoying, I decided to finish the daycare. That is, creating the features that allow you to put a Pokémon in the daycare and take one out (and yes, taking them out costs in-game money just like the games; 100 base cost, 100 added for each level [so if it gained 5 levels, the cost would be 600]).

Also, I did the egg stuff where you can opt to either hatch an egg or get rid of it (evil D<).

So, that is finished now.

Next up will likely be the "Pokémon Information" window that displays information on a certain Pokémon. Will have detailed information and advanced features so it is easier said than done.

Note the "Battle System" percent; it says ??%. That is simply because the battle system is too extensive and requires too much things for me to know what percentage it is at.

Also, Wingedkratos will not be on nearly as much for now due to personal issues. If you PM him and do not get a response, this is your answer.
